Ok, so I hope every towergeek sees the growing popularity behind the Tower System. Maybe some of you thought that the ColdFire V1 MCF51CN device was the only MCU behind the Tower; well think again! We are developing many new MCUs of varying feature…

Do any of you tower geeks have schematic capture and layout experience? What software tools do you prefer? Also, any tips on rapid prototyping manufacturer? I'm going to do some research of my own, but curious to learn more from you guys.

TWR-MCF51CN I/O Quick Reference

Check out this quick reference I put together to help pair up what MCF51CN128 pin functions were associated with which TWR-MCF51CN I/O components. I'm going to see about getting this added to TWR-MCF51CN User's Manual. TWR-MCF51CN-IO.doc

Feels like an Iphone!

Ok, so maybe not as small as an iphone, but this week I got the prototype for a Tower LCD module! And the screen looks sweet attached to the functional elevator expansion ports. This display is bigger than I expected and once the code is up and running will have touch screen inputs. So far so good, in my testing the screen seems to be working well. I have a lot more to evaluate; so I better get cracking and write some code.

Spoiled my identity, goodbye TowerMaster!

Ok, so I did not do a very good job at keeping my identity on towergeeks secret. I think my responses to most discussions made my identity obvious to those towergeeks that I met at the ASEE conference. Anyways, it doesn't really matter; I'm more than happy to share my insights and excitement about the Tower System. Therefore, I have decided to retire TowerMaster. :-)

Gracias

I think we were waiting for the ordering window to open and then we couldn't find the card! I just found it yesterday, but don't know if it is still good. Do you know? Enjoyed the video!!! And thanks again, Andrew had a great time visiting with and learning from you all.

the video wouldn't play for me, so I deleted it and I'm trying to post it again. I compressed it down to a smaller file so hopefully it will work this time.

End of July. We haven't received updated BSP for Tower that has new Enet driver. So our efforts are based on getting it. Then I have. MTO and vacation to delay effort from 8-18 July.

Thanks! You'll have to check out the Lego Tower in person. It's at my desk.
