Hello Everyone!

I want to write a code to drive an USB Webcam over the tower system. I checked examples which are included in the directory
of ...\Freescale MQX 3.2\usb\host, realised that they were done for another
board, also current libraries for twrmcf51cn does not have usb classes.
What should i do ?

Thanks,

Hi, Freewalks,

The MCF51CN doesn't have a USB controller, so there are no examples for USB. You'll need to switch to the TWR-MCF5225X card to get USB support in the Tower today.

Hi TheUnderdog,

so why do i have an usb extension on my serial module ?

was it put there for developer to create his own usb classes??

If you look at the schematics for the Serial module you will notice a MAX3353E which is a I2C-to-USB interface chip. This would allow the TWRMCF51CN to interface to USB via the elevators.

The TWR-SER module is a generic serial module developed to support multiple Tower MCU modules. The TWR-MCF51CN supports the RS232/RS485 and Ethernet portions of that module. The TWR-MCF5225X adds support for the CAN and USB (Device/Host/OTG) portions of that module.
