Is anybody aware of anything that could cause my serial module to no longer receive power?  The switch is on, the elevators are lighting up and so is the uC, but the serial module does not light up and my computers do not detect an Ethernet connection.  It powered and was detected on Ethernet a few days ago, though I never could establish a telnet session in the demos.

I know this is a vague question but I thought it would be worth asking before I start dealing with the distributor or Freescale (just got it about a week ago).

Phillip:

I have a tower system with a TWR-SER card and also with the TWR-MCF5225X card. My whole system is working fine.

Are you in the USA? If so, send me an E-mail with your phone number. Then I'll give you a call. I'll walk you through some stuff over the phone to get you going.

Did you verify that you are plugging in the "PRIMARY" side of the TWR-SER module to the "Functional Elevator". This is a common mistake that could be the cause of your issue.

Oh that's awesome. My spatial awareness has always been a bit deficient and I had assumed there was only one right way to plug it in. It's good to know it's not broken, and good to laugh a bit.

Thanks guys.
