Production will be in the last half of Dec. and orderable. We are considering pre-order. These will be at Freescale HQ next week for show and tell, hopefully I'll have all 3 fully sample coded because they are part of a Tower System being mounted on a development robotic platform (will also be in Austin with the boards). There are some more advanced robotic boards due in Jan, 6 axis motor controller, Guidance & Control board and a FPGA board.
should use xbee-pro XSC the range is 24km with high gain antenna.
I think it could be a good idea to merge the GPS and Xbee in the same board because they are small circuits..
We use te 900MHz X-Bee on our bigger ARVs. Merging them just due to size is not a real valid reason. We found that developers only pay for what they want.
